A Look Inside: Pink Dolphin Co.

I discovered the brand Pink Dolphin Co. through my homie Vontae about a year ago and really fell in love with their bright colors, dope concept, and unique designs. Pink Dolphin Co has been gaining a lot of exposure through twitter and a lot of big name celebrities such as Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa have been seen rocking this dope brand. I recently connected with some of the cool people at Pink Dolphin Co. and now I'm able to give you an inside perspective on their concept...


ABOUT PINK DOLPHIN CO

"Founded in 2008, Pink Dolphin is a unique and ingenious clothing line embodying exclusivity.  The founders’ vision was to create a clothing line where every piece was limited to keep from saturation on the streets. In doing so, every season since launch has been stocked with a limited quantity of articles that were only pressed one time. Continuing the vision to create limited and unique products, Pink Dolphin launched their Legend Label offshoot which is a secret collection of clothing that can only be unlocked via points acquired thru previous purchases. As the brand continues to build upon itself, we want to thank our supporters for believing in the brand and supporting our message."


CONCEPT 
“Not just any other clothing line, we are here to promote positivity and show people what power’s they have bestowed in them. Our slogan – Legends At Our Craft – is a phrase that not only defines the pride, creativity, and superior quality that we put into our gear, but a phrase that encourages everyone to be a legend in your own craft. To strive to be the best in everything one does while promoting positivity and remaining humble will lead to unlimited success and prosperity.”


Q&A
Could you introduce the Pink Dolphin Co team and what everyone does?
Young L (from the pack) is the owner of the line and the whole clothing line is his vision. Cena is our creative director and handles the designs and manufacturing. Neima is our CFO and handles day to day operations of the line. 


How did you find and connect your team?
it was all a vision that young l came up with a few years ago. We had all been connected from before that and he chose some people to put his vision in action with.  


Do you have a creative process?
A lot of designs are spur of the moment ideas. They might pop up randomly and immediately we jot them down and then later design them by hand. We like to drop our seasons with matching colorways so shoppers have the chance to basically buy a whole bunch of fits from us that match each other.


What does Pink Dolphin Co have in store for their next release?
Our spring collection drops on March 4th. We have a whole bunch of crewnecks and tees for the spring as well as accessories such as snapbacks and a coin/card pouch.  


Where do you see the brand in the next 10 years?
The brand continues to change as we grow older. All of us are under 25 and we will see it progress and grow as we age.


What kind of support have you been recieving from the public?
Our fans are all really amazing and support everything we do. We have certain fans that are really loyal and are constantly buying a lot of gear from us. All the feedback we have been getting is really positive.  


How do you keep yourself motivated?
Some of the fan mail and messages that we get are really motivating. People really like the positive message we are promoting with the line and they show us a lot of love. 


Is Pink Dolphin Co. looking into any other ventures outside of fashion?
We got a couple things in the works. We don't want to give out too much info just yet but more details are soon to come.
